scroll bar length

Dan

I would like to control the "length" of the scroll bar.
When I enter a value in a cell at the bottom of a sheet
(e.g. A100), the scroll bar naturally "shortens." But
after deleting the contents of that cell and then moving
to the top of the sheet (e.g. A1), the scroll bar remains
shortened. Is it possible to resize the scroll bar to its
original length? Thanks.

Because you "used" that cell, Excel still thinks that cell is the extent of
your data, even after you deleted the contents of that cell.
To reset the "end" of your data (and the length of the scroll bar), select
the row after your last data row. Do Ctrl-Shift-Down Arrow. This selects
all the rows below your data. Do Edit - Delete. This deletes all those
rows (they are immediately replaced). Save the file. The "end" is now
reset. HTH Otto
