1. This problem is affecting PCs at our customer not our devt or test PCs.
2. When the mail merge is done by a VS2005 program, the scroll bars in Word
become frozen or locked (not greyed). It affects all open documents and other
MS applications, eg Outlook. It is cleared when Word (and Outlook etc) are
closed.
3. It affects both Windows 2000 SP4 and Windows XP SP2 PCs running Office
2003 SP2 with and without the June Security Updates.
No PC here exhibits the problem.
All PCs at the customer site do exhibit the problem.
The same VS2005 program uses automation to create lists and other documents,
but not using a mail merge and in these cases there is no problem with the
scroll bars.
A conflict with something else is most likely, but what?
