Using XP Excel - 2nd time this has happened (on a laptop keyboard) and the
spreadsheet hi-lites from a specific point the cursor was on - cant save -
cant go to pulldown menus....have to go to task manager to close down

sound familiar to anyone??

I am periodically having the same problem, but F8 doesn't work - none of the
function keys work when this happens.

A number of my colleagues have had this same problem from time to time; very
frustrating. All on toshiba laptops with XP Excel - re imaging the laptop
solves the problem. F8 key does not solve problem, but some believe an Fn key
combo of some sort triggers itb but can't pin anything down. Would love a
solution.
