Can Entourage be set to drop to the next message, when you delete the current
message?

Yes, a lot depends on the view you are using. There are shortcuts that go to
the
next unread message. In 3 pane view you can just use the space bar to go to
the next message. In preferences you can select how long before a message is
marked as read.

OPTION+COMMAND (Apple)+[ Delete the current message and display the
previous message.

====
OPTION+Command (Apple)+] Delete the current message and display the next
message.

====
CTRL+OPTION+[ Delete the current message and display the previous unread
message.

====
CTRL+OPTION+] Delete the current message and display the next unread
Message.

Diane, I try using the OPTION+Command (Apple)+] to Delete the current message
and display the next one, but nothing happens???

Hmmmm, not sure why it¹s not working. Be sure you have the right keys,
Option-Command-]

Personally, I like to use the tap the space bar to read my messages and the
arrow keys to go to the next. Then I go back and delete all read messages.
Usually I nuke them. If I want to keep, I do nothing. I use ³unread only² so
I only see messages to read.
