Scrolling credits

I have a text on a slide Calibri (body) 48pt. which is very long. It runs
more than double the length of the slide. Is it possible to animate this
text for it to appear as if it were to scrolling very slowly from the
bottom/top of slide as if they were a list of credits in a film? It is
continuos text and not numbered. I am not yet sure how to post a question
that is understandable. A newbie bear with me.

I have followed the link and applied the info as much as I can but I appear
to be getting lost trying to do the following:

Maureen,
I'm guessing you use PPT 2002/2003 or for that matter 2007? The explanation
refers to PPT 97-2000.
So, let me try to put you on the right track. In the animation task pane
after applying the crawl effect, double click the effect and choose the
effect tab, at the bottom of the dialog, next to apply animation to text, it
should read 'all at once' which is the default setting I believe. On the
third tab 'animation', next to 'group by' it should read 'as one object' and
not by level x. Again this should be the default setting. Consider reducing
the speed a bit more, on the timing tab of the same dialogue type the speed
you want, for instance 10 sec. That should allow the viewer to read more
easily.
Now move the whole text block completely off the top of the slide. Start the
presentation.

Almost success, only problem is that although everything is now scrolling up
and off the top of the page, the text seems "dithery" if that is a computer
word, or maybe slightly jumpy. I will have a go at sorting it later on
tonight unless of course you know of a quick fix. Thanks a lot for your
help.

I have managed to solve my jumpy problem. I fiddled with the speeds until I
got it looking quite smooth. Thanks a lot for your help. I didn't even think
this could be achieved by me.
