Hi Ian:
I suspect your document is getting a bit complex internally, or your
computer is a little low on free memory.
Word "does" pause on complex documents. Usually the pauses are not
sufficient to be really irritating, but they can become so if the computer
is a bit slow and has lots of other applications running.
If you experience the problem often, you will find it worth installing a
gigabyte of RAM. If you already have a gig of RAM, you may need to
de-corrupt your documents.

I have found that the scroll arrows in the vertical scroll bar are
working erraticaly in Word2004. Sometimes I press them and nothing
happens. No problems in any other application including Office. Anyone
come across this and know a way out?
