Scrolling function does not work

I have a user who is using Excel 97. She has a
spreadsheet with multiple sheets. On one of the pages she
cannot use her roller ball on the mouse to scroll up or
down the sheet. When she does she gets an Excel illegal
operation error. Clicking on the vertical up/down arrows
does not allow her to move up or down either. These
functions work fine on all of the other sheets. I have
tried uninstalling and reinstalling Excel but it still
fails.

I would next try to get rid of that particular worksheet.
Try copying all the data from that sheet to a new
sheet...maybe even pasting values only instead of a direct
paste of everything. Save the file and reopen it and see
if that fixes the problem. Some of my coworkers have had
some strange things happen and getting rid of that sheet
solved their problems. Good luck!

I made a local copy of the entire spreadsheet and it
worked fine so I then copied it back to the network share
and it works fine now! Thanks for your help guys.
