I have a similar problem to others in this newsgroup, but I haven't seen any solutions.
Dell Dimension 4100, 256k mem, 40gig hard drive, Windows 2000, Office 2000, Outlook 2000 connecting to Exchange Server 5.5.
The user can send a message to a contact by browsing through the Contacts folder, but if he clicks on the "To:" button in a new message and tries to scroll through his list of contacts Outlook crashes with the "Outlook.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows..."
He can select a contact if he doesn't scroll. It's reallly strange. I uninstalled Office and reinstalled Office and it worked temporarily. He added a new contact and the problem exists once again.
I can log the same user into a different machine and scroll through the contacts just fine. I can also log into his machine and scroll through my contacts without issue. I tried to recreated his profile on his machine - the problem still existed with a new profile!
Any suggestions?
I feel like I'm searching for a needle in the haystack...
