Scrolling Marquees...

In a question unrelated to my guest book questions.
Somehow I seem to have disable my scrolling marquees. By accident I loaded
up the HTML editing bar, and ended up with a super slow editing page. So I
accessed the custom settings and deleted as I did once before. So I was
back to my more comfortable editing speed, the only problem is that all my
marquees suddenly didn't work. Are the two issues related as I suspect?
How do I get my scrolling marquees back?

Tools | Page Options | Compatibility tab and set browsers to IE or custom.
