Dear Assorted Experts,
I'm having a particular problem with Word 2003 that I can't find
addressed on any Usenet group.
* I used to be running Word 2003 on Windows XP.
* My new laptop came with Vista and Office 2007.
* I installed Office 2003, and copied thousands of old Word files
(including Normal.dot) onto the new laptop.
* Whenever one of these old documents (or any new document) is over 10
pages or so, I encounter a scrolling problem: Say I hold Page Down
until I reach the bottom of the document. If I then hold Page Up, the
cursor will stick after about 2 pages. Sometimes the cursor will leap
ahead to a seemingly random part of the document. Other times I'll
see the same few lines of text repeated all over the screen, and I
have to switch back and forth to a different window before the
document displays normally again.
This inability to scroll properly is driving me nuts -- I would hugely
appreciate any advice!
Many thanks,
Doug
