Scrolling problem

I have just installed Excel on a new computer and find that when I press any
of the arrow keys (up, down, left or right) the sheet scrolls in the
direction of the arrow key but the active cell remains where it was. Same
happens with PgUp and PgDown keys.

Is there a way of changing this so that the active cell changes with each
press of the arrow keys?

Have you got your Scroll Lock key inadvertently pressed?

Try hittig Fn and F12 (all in ONE sequence) and see if
anythiing happens.
See down on the right of the spreadshhet it the legend
SCRL disappears
This worked in my laptop.
