Scrolling to task start or end in Gantt chart

When viewing a Gantt chart, is there a fast way of moving to the start
or end of a task? I might have zoomed into a week and want to go to
the start of a task that's in a couple of week's time, but don't want
to have to manually scroll there. Is there a way of selecting a task
and scrolling the Gantt view to the start or end of that task?

Rob,
You should see a "go to selected task" button on the standard toolbar.
If it isn't there you can add it by customizing the toolbar. Using that
button is the quickest way to "scroll" the Gantt to a given task.

Hope this helps.

Because I'm using a master project with sub-projects, I can't use go
to task because it goes to that task in the master, not the subproject
- but I can use "go to date" which is on the same dialogue.

A but clunky, but better than nothing - thanks!

Rob,
You are NOT using the button I suggested. If you use the "Go To..."
submenu under the Edit menu then yes, you can only go to task IDs that
are part of the master. However, if you use the "go to selected task"
button (it does not have a menu equivalent), then it WILL go to the
selected task whether it is actually part of the master or a task in one
of the subprojects.
