seach shapes

Hi,

I use Visio 2003 Pro English.

When I type in the Search Shapes pane "circle" for example, the
request is pending for ever and I have to close Visio manually, which
obviously makes it crash.
I tried to uninstall/reinstall but it' s still the same...

Any help would be really appreciated,

I have the same problem - any time I try to do a search for shapes, Visio
2007 crashes. I acts like it's starts the serach, but eventually Vista tells
me the program has stopped responding. I actually lost 3 hours worth of work
on a network diagram because of this - I did not think to check the auto-save
setting when I installed Visio 2007 - it was turned off. I have tried
uninstalling and reinstalling but it did not help.
Are you running on Vista or XP?
