Searc stopped functioning

I'm running OneNote an Outlook 2007 Beta on a HP Tablet PC TC110 Running
Windows XP for tablets.

uddenly, I have lost all search capabilities in OneNote and Outlook. I have
rebooted the computer several times and have Run the Office Diagnostics all
to no avail.

I have also noticed that the Indexing options module in the control panel is
not responding as well. Would uninstalling Windows Desktop Search hurt
anything at this point?

The search bits in Beta2 of Office are still not working completely.
Uninstalling WDS won't harm anything.

If you can get it to work, you can try to rebuild the index using the
Indexing options module in the control panel, advanced, rebuild.

Try this:

1. Uninstall WDS
2. Reboot (it will kind of force you any way)
3. Add or Remove Programs->OneNote Beta 2007->Change->Repair
4. Run OneNote or Outlook or search on the download page for WDS Beta and
re-install
5. Reboot
6. Run OneNote or Outlook and they should start indexing again
