Search and Replace

I am trying to find a formula, where i can tell cell
b3 from Worksheet 2 to search all of worksheet 1 for the
same value for A3 and then replace b3 with the
corresponding value in column B from worksheet 1.

Example

Worksheet 2-starting at A1

Number Comment
1
16
24 formula so that the cell value says "blue"
(from Worksheet 1, ex. below)
45


Worksheet 1-starting at A1

Number Comment
3 red
24 blue
65 orange
106 green

Mary,

I think a VLOOKUP formula will work. Try placing this formula in cell B3 on
worksheet #2: =VLOOKUP(A3,Sheet1!$A$1:$B$4,2,FALSE)
