Mark Fitzpatrick said:Best way is to find the Add Url or Add Site links on the various search
engines. You can purchase a service that will submit them for you, but
since about 95% of the searches are done on 5 or so search engines, it's
not worth the money.
Something to keep in mind, even after you add your site, that doesn't
necessarily mean it will end up in the search engine. The various search
engines have different policies on how they rank and identify web sites.
Google, for example, ranks them based on a Page Rank, which is how many
people link to your site. If nobody links to your site, then you're at the
bottom of the barrel (or sometimes not even in the barrel). Most of the
submission pages try to let you know that you are more "suggesting" that
your site be included and don't guarantee that it will.
Hope this helps,

immediately makes people want to leave.

Frontpage very frustrating. In retrospect I should have used a
different product.
I would love to learn more and improve my web skills. However, there
is a limit to how much time I can spend (waste?) on further
improvements. However, I find reading this forum most instructive.
