Search facility doesn't work

I have frontpage server extensions installed on my server and have added a
search webbot component to a page on my web using frontpage 2000, which i
have published to my server.
The problem is if I try to search on my online website a login box pops up.
None of my usernames or passwords work and I can't have this popping up for
visitors.
Can anyone help?
