search folder doesnt find small messages

hi everyone
i have a problem i have a contact that i regularly send him messages of 4-5
words. for some reason my search folder which is set to find all messages
sent to him, ignores these tiny messages, and only the longer messages show
up in said folder. any help is greatly appreciated

no configuration except the sent to line which includes the recipients address
