Search folders in Outlook 2003 - object could not be found

Kolin Tregaskes

When I select any of the 3 default search folders I receive the message,
"The operation failed. An objects could not be found.".

I have, for example, several unread mail, but the search folders show
nothing at all.

The failed export must be corrupt OE files, but OE does say so, hmmm.

I've re-created the search folders, but I'll try this as well, thank you.

All things considered, including your failed export, I wonder if the install
didn't go well. Try Detect and Repair (Help menu).

I don't know if tomsterdam.com might have some information relating to
possible corrupt OE files or not, but it might be worth a look. if you don't
actually need the mail, except for archival purposes, use DBXtract to burst
the DBX's and burn the mail to a CD. They open in notepad or OE's mail form.
