Search history file deletion

Argghhhh...I have MS 2000
I have all my search history requests pop us when I do a
new search. I want to delete them. (Place- start menu and
use SEARCH for FILE or FOLDERS) It will not clear
previous searches. Even though I go to TASKBAR AND START
MENU PROPERTIES and select ADVANCED TAB and use the
CLEAR button...
Am I in the right area?
