The Outlook Search for 2007 is basically hopeless. Lookout for 2003 beta
version took less than 1 second to find everything. MS incorporated Lookout
within 2007, but it does not work instantly, takes minutes not seconds and is
incomplete.
The 2007 Outlook Search literally takes minutes (this time 7 for a frequent
emailer's name) to bring up old emails first (2004) and finally the more
recent emails. However, huge amounts of emails are missing. The computer has
been 'indexed' twice by our IT guys. To no avail.
Is there anything else out there like Lookout which will work in Outlook 2007?
Is there no way we can put on the old Beta version on 2007 or would that
create even more conflicts?
Apart from the above, the frustrating thing is that Search gives me very
ancient emails first and then thinks for a very long time about finding the
latest emails.
There surely must be some way of upending its search protocol so that it
does earliest first.
I cannot believe everyone has the same problem with Outlook 2007.
Thank you
