Search Indexing

Olivier

In onenote 2007 on vista 64 with Desktop search 4.

The search works find from inside onenote, but the search indexing doesn't
index the content inside notes, just notebooks titles.

Anybody has a solution?

Just check the settings for the indexing options.

Normally the whole of the ON contents is indexed.
And searching inside ON as well as from the "Start" and the Explorer
search fields then finds everything.

I don't think that 64bit Vista would behave different from my Business
32 version.

P.S. For checking the state of the Indexer there's a really useful
sidebar gadget:
"Brandon Tools: Indexer Status Gadget"

You may also want to check my blog entry to get some registry
tweaks for 64 bit vista that will make desktop search results a
little more useful:

Thanks for jumping in, dear John!

AFAICS in the case given we have a *different* situation, however.
I can not be of help in so far, as I do not have a Vista 64 version
available :-( :-(

Still:
The problem raised by the OP seems not to have to do with the situation
treated by your Blog-article.
The OP is asking about a problem with the "Search Engine".

And he is not alone:
Just yesterday "Michael A" raised an almost identical question (Thread
"Is there a question with search in OneNote")
"Maintenance and Service Guide"
MSG ID: (e-mail address removed)

Any idea?
