Search of Outlook fails after Exchange databases split

Greetings All,

I have recently split a large database on an Exchange server into 3 smaller
databases. Just found out that anyone running a find or advanced find in
Outlook is getting negative results for items that have been sent or received
since the split. All email from before the split can be found using the
search tools. For example, split occurs on April 30. If I try to find a
message received after that date, it does not show up in search results but a
manual search of the inbox shows the message is still there. I can find
anything before April 30.
Has anyone heard of this sort of thing happening before and possible cause?

I am able to log on to a couple of mailboxes that experience this problem
and successfully run a find. This suggests a permissions issue but the fact
users can successfully search some of their own mailbox refutes that. I have
full admin rights and am using a different client (Outlook 2003 SP2). Those
having troubles use Outlook 2002 SP3. All permissions on the database and
individual mailboxes are correct.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
