I use FP 2003 and maintain five websites, all hosted by the same host. No
problems at all with FP, hosting, publishing, etc.
HOWEVER -- I cannot put a search page on my sites. FP 2003 lets me
construct a search page using their search page template and the search page
publishes to the site. However, when I access the search page through my
browser and test it by entering a word or phrase for which to search, no
matter what I enter the response is "No matches found."
I checked the FP help and it states that, for the search page to work, FP
2002 extensions must be installed. FP extensions ARE installed on my host
servers but I don't know if they are FP 2002 extensions -- I've always
assumed the installed extensions are FP 2003 extensions, if there is such a
thing.
Should the folks who host my sites be able to install FP 2002 extensions,
or, will doing this screw up my sites?
Is there a way to build a search page not using the FP search template?
Or -- is the search function tied to FP extensions 2002?
Thanks.
