Is there any way to select a field within a form and
search the database, without going into VB. Thanks in
advance.

What do you mean, search the database?

You can find a value in some field on a form with Ctrl-F (or choosing
the Find command any other way).

You can limit your view to records containing the value in the current
field by pressing the flashlight button or choosing the QuickFilter
command in some way.
