Searchable text in images disabled

Hi,
I searched for some text I knew was in an image but it didn't return
in the search. I manually found the image and when I right-clicked it
and went to "Make Text in Image Searchable", I found that it was
checked as "disabled". (The search was successful after I unchecked
"disabled" on the image.) I looked around and found that all of my
images are showing disabled this way. How can I turn on image text
search for all my images without going to every image in my notebook
and unchecking "disabled"?

In case it's important, here's a little background.
I've used ONeNote 2003 for a couple of years and recently bought
OneNote 2007. Instead of "upgrading" 2003 to 2007, I restored an old
pre-OneNote ghost image to my PC before I installed ON 2007, so it's
like it was never installed. Then I restored by backed up
OneNote .one files and upgraded them with ON 2007.
Thanks.

OP here. I just tried to uncheck "disabled" on some other images but
they're staying disabled. So, I was able to uncheck disabled on the
first one but after that I haven't been able to enable any others.

Sorrry for the confusion, but in my haste I overlooked that I have to
check "English" to enable them, not "uncheck" disable.

But still, how do I enable all the images in my notebooks at once?

Did you try Tools | Options | Other to see what the "Disable text
recognition in pictures" checkbox state is?

It sounds like something flaky is going on. I would try resetting the
options checkbox to "Disable", close OneNote, reopen it, enable the global
search, and then see if it sticks.
