searching doc and pdf documents in access

I was trying to find out if access will allow you to attach a document to a
field (like an ole object) and allow me to then search the database to find
text in that object?

I do not believe that to be possible.

You can link documents and search through the links (name of files) but
actually run through the content of each attached file searching for key
words, I do not think it is a possibility.

The only solution I could see would be to link docs and set up a field to
house keywords and search through them.
