Searching for a string

Hello,

Can the InStr function be used and is it the best way to search for a string
in a memo field?

Here is the scenario...I have to populate a report in word (with tables)
with information that i receive in email (below). This is a long tedious
process and i am trying to find a way to make things easier. I have pasted
the body of the email I receive below. I am able to export the case number,
submitted date, etc, but the solutions are not exportable...they are only
emailed. I have linked the folder from my outlook mailbox to my Access
database, but i have no idea how i can get the data i need out of the body.

here is a sample email:

Dear :
This message is to inform you that the solution for Service Request ID

The latest updated information:I can replicate the FATAL –523 by with the
following setup: Original TMCM 3.5 server --> tmcm root account name is:
admin New TMCM 3.5 server --> tmcm root account name is: tmcmadmin I used the
TMI-TCT_1031 to import the new e2epublic.dat from new tmcm server 3.5 and it
said successfull but when I can't the new TMCM server, nothing registered.
The agent_smex.log logged the FATAL –523 error. In the client's entity.cfg,
the DM_Activate=!CRYPT!20CC76FFAB91A3A4777F6F06189E20FD92734574C05 which
equal: tmcmadmin do you know if the tmcmadmin is the same tmcm root account
on the new tmcm 3.5 server the client trying to register to? If not, please
follow Solution ID: 126809 and it should address the issue.

Product: ScanMail for Microsoft Exchange
SR Title: TMCM Registration
Problem Type: Installation and Deployment
Severity: B-Major Functional Defect
Urgency: High
SR Description: the agent was moved from one TMCM server to another and the
agent is unable to register. I have had them reexport the e2epublic key and
attempt the registration gain, but it still fails. They are using the tmc
configuration tool to perform the move. We have also removed the
entity_certificate and the entity_guid from the entity.cfg, and according to
the client the certificate is not regenerated.

I would need to extract the information after "The latest updated
information:" and "SR Description:"

The information needs to go into a report that is a word doc with a table.
The cell for each case has this infomation, formatted in a single cell:

Problem:

Solution:

The way the report is formatted is really lame, but i can't change that. I
just need to figure out how to make this process faster. With over 300
hundred cases month this thing kills me.

thanks,
jessie
