We have a coporate MOSS 2007 installation as our default intranet.
Obviously users want to search for information within the search site
of this MOSS server and not look for it in multiple locations.
We also have a Project server 2007 installation (same LAN, separate
servers).
How can we get MOSS to include the information in the PWA workspaces
within the MOSS search results? We have a lot of project related
documents in the workspaces and we want a contiguous search. We dont
want to tell users to go to one location for some docs and somewhere
else for others. I am assuming that at they both use sharepoint this
is trival.
Should we:
a) Point MOSS search at the root of the Project server ?
OR
b) Get the project server to index its own content and someohow tell
the MOSS server to use the project server as part of a federated
search
I would prefer the first option - but I am not sure it would work?
