Searching Shared Calendars

One employee has a shared calendar which several oltehr employees can read
but not edit.

Can these other employess search on that shared calendar? I do not appear to
be able to do that. They can only search from their own or public folders?

Should I have created a public calendar rather than shared an individuals?

It is exchange 2003, with outlook 2003 on XP clients
