Is it possible to have a function in excel that can index through sheet tabs?
I have 10 sheet tabs named by date, (10 Mar, 11 Mar etc) and in the 11th
sheet I need to construct a table by,
- searching through the sheet tabs to find the sheet i need (the table to
fill will have the same dates as the sheet tabs are named)
- then use an index & match function to pick up certain entries from the
tables within this sheet
Is this possible?
Is it easier to ask excel to search through different files rather than
different tabs? So if i save the files by date then, (so I have a folder
with 30 excel files rather than a file with 30 sheets in it), then ask excel
to search through folders?
