Searching text within Task attachments - OL2007

indexer)

I use tasks for every project. All emails relating to that project are
stored within the task. When I use desktop search, it will find text within
the body of emails stored within my PSTs. However, it won't find text within
the emails attached to my tasks.

Is this by design or user error?

By design mostly. Email attachments are stored as objects on tasks and a
limited set of fields is indexed - attachment content is not saved.

That's a shame. I guess I'll have to post as a suggestion for the future.
