Secondary Data Source?

I have a infopath form that uses a secondary data source to retreive a list
of contacts from a sharepoint list. Are the queries to the Sharepoint lists
(via Secondary data source) initiated from the client or server? I
configured the form to load the data upon loading the form.

Hi,
They are initaiated from the client whenever the form is opened, Then the
sharepoint list is queried and the data at that point is used. If the
sharepoint list is updated after the form is opened then the data connection
has to be requeried to get the latest data.
