Section Break After TOC Problems

Hello Folks,

I need to start a new section after my TOC, but since the TOC is some
sort of object/hyperlink thing (sorry I don't know the word) I can't
seem to select any space on that page in which to insert the break. Any
click on the page containing the TOC puts the cursor within the TOC.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

I got it figured out, though if anyone can tell me where to learn more
about entities like the TOC and how to deal with them I'm all ears.
