If you left Track Changes turned on, the section breaks will indeed still be
there and still active.
In which case, resolve your changes (Accept or Reject...)
I find it easiest to turn tracked changes OFF, then Find/Replace the section
breaks to a paragraph mark, then turn the Tracked Changes back on if you
need it. That way, you keep your change marking and lose the section
breaks.
Note: It's a bad idea to keep tracked changes in a document for "long".
Basically, you should resolve each set of changes before beginning the next
round of editing. If you don't your document will rapidly become very
unstable.
Cheers
I'm working on a long document that had a lot of section breaks in it.
I removed them (in Normal mode), but they are still active. I want the
document to be a seamless one section. How do I get rid of the breaks
???
