Section numbers

Pre-2008, Word showed the section number in the status bar at the bottom of the document window. Woord 2008 only shows page numbers. How do I find out which section I'm viewing? I suspect this is something obvious...

Unfortunately it *isn't* obvious at all:-( At the present time your only
immediate option is to go into the Header/Footer where the Section number is
displayed in the H/F label.

Alternatively you can insert a SECTION field in the Header/Footer (format it
as Hidden so it only displays if the ¶s are displayed & doesn't print). This
isn't a *total* solution - it doesn't identify sections generated by
Continuous Section Breaks, but it might provide a better "guesstimate" than
nothing at all. Additionally you can use a section field in each section in
the same way. A definite PITA, but that's the best I can offer.
