Secuirty Digitial ID Issues With Word Document

De Vo

Hi

I not sure if this is the best place to post a question like this...
but I really dont have a clue

I have done a document for my friend which contains vba.

and wish to be able to install it and run it with little fuss whilst
not comprimising his system

One of the major things is the secuirty setting on vba / macros. the
user is not a litterate pc user so trying to eliminate any possible
thing that might create problems.

Is there a way or free service to help with a digital id for another
computer on this word document.

I more concered with the user lower the secuirty setting as potential
daminging document could be opened if i reduce the secuirty.

looking for advise and ideas...

regards

De Vo

Hi, De Vo,

You can use the selfcert.exe program to create a certificate and
digitally sign your macro project. Then your friend will have to
accept the digital signature once (or you can do it when you install
the template for him).

See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=217221.
