Secure a database so the tables and querrys cannot be copied

Michael

I forget how to do this. I have created a database that I use for a website
that controls the delivery of products. I have someone who may be interested
in buying the system to use as a stand alone application. I need to provide
them with a sample, but I do not want to give them the database in any form
that they can copy my tables and query's. I know there is a way.. just
cannot remember.
Thanks
Michael

This is a Microsoft Access Programming list. Are you
referring to the spell check in Access? If so, provide some
more details. If not, go to the appropriate group for your
program.

If I hadn't opened the other, differently titled, post, I'd never have seen
yours. New posts should _always_ start a new thread, as most newsreaders
show only the first Subject until the little plus-box is clicked and
certainly most do not open every thread. Too, you'll improve your chances of
getting good answers if you summarize the topic of your post in the Subject,
instead of pleading for help (after all, everybody here, except the
occasional spammer, is either seeking or giving help). Some of the
best-qualified people, however, just don't have time to open and read all
the posts, so they only open those whose title indicates a subject on which
they are able and willing to help.

thanks Joseph.
I have to give this to a software house to evaluate it as they have
expressed an interest in selling it. What I want to do is allow the program
to run, but not allow them to access the database so they cannot basically
just copy the database and tell me they are not interested and then sell it
anyway. It took me about a year to make the entire program and would like to
protect my interest. I think mde is the way I used to do it. I have not
worked with access in about a year.. lol after that last project.. needed a
break.
thanks
