I have a 2000 file, stored variously on a server, a thumb
drive, or the PC hard drive. It runs on computers with
2002 & 2004 installed. I've secured the database file,
creating a workgroup. I've copied the workgroup
information file, and/or a file of the same size that is
named "secured" to the shared documents file on each
computer that uses the database.
On SOME of those machines, this works great. The database
(whether accessed from hard drive, thumb or network) will
only open when an appropriate password is provided.
On OTHER machines (those I have transferred the
workgroupinfo or secured files to more recently) the
database opens without asking for a password, regardless of
whether it is accessed from harddrive, thumb or network.
Obviously I'm missing something simple, but I have no clue.
Please, please help.
