All:

The following notice was posted a few minutes ago by Microsoft.

Those of you running any version of Windows need to run Windows Update on
Thursday. There's a nasty 0-day exploit out there.

Details here:

Because many of us run Windows OS in Parallels, Fusion and/or Virtual PC on
our Macs.

Thanks for the Heads Up, John.

You mean, you "don't" run Windows on your Mac?

I suspect most of the Mac users in here have to run one or more Windows
applications. I run both XP and Vista on this Mac (and I have Windows 2000
here if I need it).

But being Mac users, most of us are out of the loop where we would hear
about urgent and important security fixes.

So I posted it in here, to cover fellow print professionals who have to have
Windows around.

Cheers

Sorry, but I fail to see why this is posted in MAC threads?

Nope, got everything I need as Mac software. Photoshop for Mac, Office for
Mac, Safari, Transmit, Adobe Reader, FileMaker Pro, AVA3, StuffIt, Roxio,
etc, etc.

Hi Dante:

Well, yeah, I have all of those too.

However, I make my living as a Word specialist, and Mac Word 2008 doesn't
have what it takes to play in that league. :)

For those of us who make our living on the computer, it's common to need to
go cross-platform for "something". Some of the people in here "are"
cross-platform on the Mac, our main business is on the other side :)

Cheers
