Security - Different Enterprise Resource views

Is it possible to setup security to allow a project manager see the entire
Enterprise Resource Pool through MS Project Professional when building the
team but only see their resources (based on RBS) when using the Resource
Center on PWA ? I've found that depending upon the set-up in the
categories I can get either the ability for them to see their resources or
all resources. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Bill,

The RBS does not limit the enterprise resource pool
available in Project. What it does limit is the list of
projects displayed when go to "Open" in Project, and also
the projects and resources shown in PWA.

The values that are set in the RBS field for each resource and each manager,
along with settings in the Resources section of the approrpriate Category,
determine exactly which resources can be viewed by a project manager in the
Team Builder Wizard and in Project Web Access. This is part of the security
model for the enterprise Project Server environment.

Generally speaking, project managers can be set up either to see ONLY their
resources, or ALL resources, in both the Team Builder Wizard and in Project
Web Access. I suppose you could have two separate accounts set up for you,
one for use with MS Project and the other for use with PWA, but I think that
would get too clumsy for you. Hope this clarification about RBS helps.
