Security error when trying to open A2002 mdb on local machine

I'm using Access XP. I have seen several articles including
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=303650 that explain improved security
in A2002 when opening a file. In some situations (typically, LAN or IP
access to the db) the error "This file is located outside your
intranet or on an untrusted site..." will occur.
However, in my case the file is on my local C-drive, in the same
folder as the Northwind sample db which opens fine. So this is a new
scenario that causes that same error, and it is related to the file
itself, not where it is located.

The history of this file is that it was created by another developer
at work, emailed to me at work, and then forwarded to my home account,
where I saved the attachment to my C-drive.

The file opens fine in A2003, so I'm not sure MSFT is really
interested in this issue, but I would really like to know what's going
on. Tomorrow I'll have to explain to the client that I made no
progress because I couldn't open the file???

What Exactly is the message which you get when you try and open the database
which was emailed to you?

The error message is:
Microsoft Access cannot open this file.
This file is located outside your intranet or on an untrusted site.
Microsoft Access will not open the file due to potential security problems.
To open the file, copy it to your computer or an accessible network
location.

I am also using Windows XP with SP2. I am using Access 2002 (is that
Access XP?). I have a database created by another company that our
customer needs to have an interface for. I received the file in an
email and saved it to a directory in my system that I created a few
minutes ago. I am not connected to any network except the internet
through a cable-modem.

I am getting the same message. I will continue to look for other
answers and hopefully I will find an answer but I wanted to say that I
am getting the same problem, for whatever it is worth.
