When opening a recently converted Access 97 database to Access 2003, an error
appears when updating/adding information in a form "you do not have exclusive
rights to the database at this time." This is a shared database on a
network. One workgroup information file has been created in the folder with
the database. I called it system.mdw. All four other workstations have
joined this file. The icon shortcut reads c:\program files\microsoft
office\office11\msaccess.exe x:\[database name] /wrkgrp x:\system.mdw. It is
entered this way to avoid the "do you want to open this file" message.
Record level locking is set. Database is shared. Any help would be
appreciated!
