Security for mpp file

hi,

I have created an mpp file using project professional 2003. I want to give
project level security to the particular file which i created. Other users
connecting to project professional should not update my project file.

Select File, Save as, click the tools button then select general options and
enter a write password and set read only recommended. Don't lose the
password!

You cannot set a password on projects saved in the Project Server database.
The default permissions in Project Server 2003 allow each project manager to
open only his/her own projects? If a post in another newsgroup, you
mentioned that team members are using Microsoft Project Professional. Is
that correct? If so, you need to remove the software from their desktops
and teach them how to use Project Web Access to enter and submit their task
progress. Hope this helps.
