Security for others

Is it possible to set up security on a data base for a select few and have
"everyone" else have "read only" without enter each of the "everyone" to the
user group?

Yes. I do this by having two groups, "managers" and "guests". I
password-protect the "managers" user accounts and have just one account for
"guests" with the password blank. To do this you need to invoke user-level
security, a search of this group will reveal a plethora of useful
information and links.

Good luck.

You can set up security and just set permissions on the Users Group that you
want 'everyone' to have i.e. set the read only permissions on the Users
Group.

Those people can just use their standard system.mdw that ships with Access
and they'll be restricted by the permissions you set on the Users Group - no
need to add usernames to this group as they'll be silently logged in as
'Admin', a member of the Users Group in the standard system.mdw
