Security lost when moving database

I set user and group accounts and then user and group
permissions. Everything was going great on my computer.
However, when I opened the database on another computer
the database no long prompts for a user name/password
(even though they were set). Also... when I went into the
security settings, I saw that they were only retained on
my computer.

Is it necessary for me to set up the security each time I
open the database from a different computer?

The problem is that you didn't secure the database properly to begin with.

follow directions exactly. If you don't, your database will not be secured.
