I am trying to set my database security so that certain users see certain
forms/reports, I use the wizard and I select the groups, enter usernames, and
then assign each user to a group. I am the admin, but when I go through the
whole process and try to open the database I receive an error that I do not
have permission in the database, even though I'm listed as the admin. What
am I doing wrong?

Are you using the shortcut created by the wizard?

Are you trying to open the db as the user named admin?

The wizard is not creating a shortcut to the database, at least I don't think
it is. I've been testing with a folder on my desktop, after I run the wizard,
I see my database, the backup, the Workgroup Info and I save my Security
report there as well.

When I double-click on my database I receive an error that I do not have the
necessary permissions to use the object, I don't have the chance to sign in
as the admin. I hope this makes sense. Thanks!

There should have been an option to create a shortcut when you were using the
wizard, but you can create one yourself. The target will look like this:

"path to msaccess.exe" "path to db" /wrkgrp "path to workgroup"

and it's all one line.

To open the db, double click on the shortcut and you'll be prompted for your
user name and password to open the db.
