security option in frontpage

when I go to select security option in drop down menu in Tools in Frontpage
2000. The option "security" is shaded and I can't go in to change my
passwords. does anyone know why this would be shaded (not available) and how
I can fix it.

This problem occurs if any of the following conditions is true:

a.. You have a disk-based web open (c:\Inetpub\wwwroot\yourweb)
b.. -or-
c.. Your web is hosted on a computer that is running Microsoft Windows 95
or Microsoft Windows 98 and running Microsoft Personal Web Server version 4
d.. -or-
e.. The content root of the Internet Information Server (IIS) is on a FAT
file system
f.. -or-
g.. FrontPage permissions on the server have been disabled by your host -
you must contact them to do this for you.

1. That option does not control the password you use for edit or opening your site, you host does.
2. The option is only available on the live remote server, if your host allow you to create subwebs
/ subsites with unique permissions.
