Why am I getting security patches from Microsoft?

Are you getting a flood of them -- 100 to 200 a day -- or only an occasional
message?

You're not. You're getting a worm from a sick, deluded individual. Microsoft
does *not* deliver software via email or NGs.

Because you are using your email address in the newsgroups and somebody is
harvesting them. I am getting about 250 a day. Just delete them.

Will there be an end to these emails or are we stuck with them from here on?
I was hoping they would fade but mine are not...I am still getting dozens a
day. I have setup filters so they are all being deleted but this must be a
staggering drain on Internet resources!!!!

Is there an end in sight??
