I have four computers in my division on our network that
overide the other computers priveleges. When an Access
Front end is open on more than one of the other computers
they operators can work at the same time with out
problems. If one of these four open the same database
front end on their computers then either they are locked
out of the backend or the other users are locked out.
Also, if a workstation has an Excel File open, any of the
other workstations will recieve a file is already open,
open file for read only warning box. If one of these four
are the second to open the file, it opens right up with
full read/write priveleges and with out any warnings of
being already open by someone else.
Is this a security setting in the Windows 2000 Profesional
OS. or is it something located somewhere else?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
